Expressions of interest are invited from suitable qualified artists to design and produce an artwork that tells the story of our Reconciliation Action Plan journey.

Council staff have been thinking deeply about how our organisation could support Aboriginal-led businesses, Aboriginal education and/or employment opportunities, the recognition and protection of Aboriginal rights, and greater awareness and understanding of Tasmanian Aboriginal cultures and lived experiences.

Through this process of reflection – considering the past, the present, and the future, we would like to co-create with Aboriginal community partners, a piece of artwork, that tells that story.

This opportunity is open to:

  • Artists living in Tasmania who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; and
  • Artists who identify as members of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, living in Tasmania.

You can find the EOI here: Artist Brief
